CTSI Saipan Joins International Coastal Cleanup 2023

On September 16, 2023, the CTSI Saipan team participated in the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) 2023, an event organized by the Division of Coastal Resources Management (DCRM). The purpose of this event was to protect the oceans by removing trash and debris from the coastal areas. Specifically, the CTSI Saipan team directed their efforts towards cleaning up the Ladder Beach area, contributing to the preservation of the island’s natural beauty. By responding to DCRM’s call for action, CTSI Saipan stands alongside numerous organizations dedicated to combatting ocean pollution in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

This collaborative initiative goes beyond the immediate goal of maintaining island cleanliness. The cleanup also holds value in documenting and understanding the various types of debris affecting Saipan’s shores. By working together towards a common cause, participants are committed to fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for the benefit of present and future generations.
