Junior Achievement Worldwide is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Its programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities. The program is like a moot court, marketing plan paper in action, where participants to this program are required to form their own companies, sell stocks, produce and sell their products, pay salaries and dividends too.
It is with these noble visions that CTSI Palau Station Manager Ronnie Giman, took inspiration to. "This is CTSI's way of showing the local community that we truly care for the education of the Youth," Giman shared.
For this project, PCoC recruited willing students from all Public High schools to vie for four winning slots: Over-all President to of the Year, Vice-President of the Year, President of the Company of the Year, Junior Achiever of the Year. These winners stand a chance to go to Mississauga Ontario Canada from August 9 to 15 for the International Junior Achievement Students Program and compete with other international delegates.
