MARCH 18 – CTSI Logistics Philippines entered into a Local Partnership Agreement (LPA) with its major carrier, Korean Airlines (KAL). Signing the contract at the KAL cargo office at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were KAL Deputy General Manager Dong Sik Yum and PI station General Manager Lito Austria. Also present were KAL’s Bimbo Gonzales of Sales and PI station Airfreight Manager Jose Adrias.
The LPA puts CTSI on KAL’s priority list, resulting in better transit time for cargoes bound for the USA and holds both companies to the following conditions: 1) CTSI is to maintain a committed volume of cargo per month to be moved via KAL to two of the former’s major destinations: JFK and LAX 2) KAL in return shall prioritize CTSI cargo 3) the LPA duration is for a one-year period 4) LPA defines the applicable airfreight rate per month per destination.
