THE PHILIPPINE Station is getting closer to its goal of becoming a major logistics player in the country, thanks to the work done by its Sales Department for 2005. For that year alone, they were able to win several contracts from different companies.
According to Business Development Manager Gerry Inandan who heads the Sales Department, 2005 also highlighted the importance of “having a good sales team in developing accounts and thereby focusing on different markets.”
Among the contracts won by the Sales Department for last year were Quantum Foods Inc., Baxter Healthcare, Chowking Philippines, Galaxy Records, Universal Records, PAGCOR and Cosway Philippines (the latter will be effective this February).
Their success, of course, took a lot of consistent effort, smart planning and team work. “I think the credit goes to everybody in CTSI. Everybody played a role,” said Inandan.
Not to mention, there were also the fare share of challenges that “usually occur at the start of the implementation. However, opportunities will follow if you have achieved significant improvements in their operations,” shared Inandan.
As he and his team look forward to the opportunities of 2006, Inandan looks back at 2005. “The year was a big challenge for us to be able to sell logistics services as a new product,” he said, “and I would say that we are successful in this endeavor because of the advantage of knowing the market and properly executing our plans.”
