| CTSI US, Corporate IT and Logistics in cooperation with IST (Integrated Solutions Technology), successfully processed the first Dillard’s Quick Replenishment Purchase Order (QRPO) at the LAX Distribution Center (DC) during the first week of May.
The QRPO is an activity from the LAX DC where goods are picked by Dillard’s and shipped within the week. This is also known as “pick and pack,” a procedure involving picking various items on a per piece basis then repacking them into a shipping carton. The QRPO from Dillard’s is now a weekly service. US Station VP and GM Jun Heramia had this to say: "The goods were received and put away into location last week. The QRPO was successfully received into the WMS (warehouse management system). And the required inventory reports of TellaS can be viewed in the DCWeb and were also provided to Sarjoo Seellal (director of logistics for US Luen Thai-GJM office) during our closing meeting.”
Seellal expressed that he was very happy with the set-up and the results, as well as impressed with the work of the Logistics team on the system implementation. "Let me also take this opportunity to thank our team composed of IST Development (DCTrack Team), Corporate IT and Logistics and our people in operations for making this initiative a success," commented Heramia.
Dillard’s, a retail department store offering fashion apparel for men, women and children and a variety of home furnishings, is a client of Luen Thai. By enlisting the services of the LAX DC, Luen Thai is able to substantially reduce costs because of the station’s strategic location and efficient IT and logistics processes.
