HUMAN RESOURCES, Human Rights (HR2), a web-enabled system that automates the manual administrative functions of the Human Resources Department, is now being used by the Philippine Station, the Corporate Office, Asialink, MELL and TakeCare.
Developed by IST, HR2 is an integrated set of application systems that will allow HR practitioners easier and more efficient processing of payroll, employee profiles, timekeeping, leave and overtime requests/approvals.
For the aforementioned companies, its non-HR team members can now use HR2 to access their respective profiles and apply for leaves. Upon doing the latter, the team member’s respective superior will receive the email leave application subject for approval. The profile features employee general information, employment information and time track information.
Corporate HR Specialists Gina delos Santos and Hazel Ordenes said that HR2 streamlines their operations in a big way. They said that the system is user-friendly and cost-efficient. For managers, HR2 will allow them to monitor the absences and overtime of their respective staff.
While HR2 is a web-based application, Corporate HR opted to implement the system in WAN (Wide Area Network) for data security. WANs are a computer network covering a wide geographical area, involving a vast array of computers. WANs are used to connect local area networks (LANs) together, so that users and computers in one location can communicate with users and computers in other locations. Many WANs are built for one particular organization and are private. |
