These were the words spoken by Republic of Palau President Tommy Remengesau when he recognized the world-renowned remittance company at the 5th Palau National Olympic Committee (PNOC) Awards Night last May 4, 2006.

At the poolside of the Palau Pacific Resort on Koror, President Remengesau awarded certificates and plaques to people and companies who made relevant contributions in the field of sports, particularly in the forthcoming Micronesian Games to be held this June on Saipan.

CTSI Palau/Western Union Sales and Marketing Manager John Diaz and CTSI Palau/Western Union Agent Joy Naguit were there to receive the certificate on the company’s behalf.

Western Union has been supporting local athletes in basketball, softball and the overall activities of the PNOC since last year. The PNOC also awarded athletes, coaches and technical staff for their contributions.

With over 200 guests at the awarding, featuring high-ranking government officials and top businessmen, Western Union was also able to gain added mileage.
