 CEBU DC HOLDS GRAND OPENING
 CCD
Thursday, May 25, 2006

IN ITS PURSUIT to bring world-class service to all its clients and elevate CTSI Logistics into the mainstream, the Philippine Station’s Cebu Supply Chain Center held its grand opening last March 29.

Present during the inauguration were Tan Holdings Chairman Dr. Tan Siu Lin and wife, Madame Lam Pek Kim, CTSI Logistics CEO Jerry Tan, Luen Thai EVP Raymond Tan, CTSI Logistics Philippines GM Lito Austria and business partner Mel Jarobilla. A number of distinguished guests and customers were also present.

The Cebu Supply Chain Center, which is located at Pakna-an Central Warehouse, Warehouse no. 8-10 S.E. Jayme St., Zone Tamates, Pakna-an, Mandaue City, is symbolic of the progress that CTSI Philippines is experiencing. “The Center is a concrete manifestation of the growth of the Philippine station,” said Austria. “It is a response to our clients’ need for us to be able to serve their requirements in the Visayas and Mindanao area. Currently, the bulk of our clients in the (Cebu) Center are also our clients in Manila such as True Value and Quantum. With the new Center, CTSI will be well-positioned to get new Visayas and Mindanao based accounts.”

Austria mentioned that the Cebu Supply Chain Center is in a strategic location being near the airport, seaport and Mactan Export Processing Zone. Other than location, he added that “the Center’s biggest strength will be its systems and its people. We currently have a team of experienced and dedicated professionals running our logistics operations. At the same time, the Center will be powered by our IT systems. For Quantum for example, we are in the process of customizing ICSLite to meet their specific requirements.”

With the Cebu Supply Chain Center now operational, clients can expect the same standards of excellence that CTSI Logistics has always adhered to. “We expect to be able to deliver to our clients the same level of effective and cost efficient service they have come to expect from CTSI Philippines,” Austria said. “We will be able to extend our offer of providing intelligent logistics solutions to our clients’ requirements across the Philippines.”

Cebu is an island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region. Its capital is Cebu City. Cebu is one of the most developed provinces in the Philippines. The Metropolitan Area of Cebu or Metro Cebu (which includes Mandaue City and Lapu-Lapu City) is second only to Metro Manila when it comes to population in the country.
