IST IMPLEMENTS HR2 SYSTEM FOR YUEN THAI PHILIPPINES
 CCD
Monday, July 17, 2006

CHINA-based company, Yuen Thai Industrial Co, Ltd. (YTIC), opened its offshore manufacturing facility in the Mactan Economic Zone l in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines last March 30, 2006.

Engaged in the manufacturing and supply chain services of branded sports and active wear products, YTIC is positioned to become the largest apparel supplier for Adidas within the next few years.

Helping bring their operations up to speed is IST, who is currently implementing the HR2 system. The two companies signed contracts last June 24, 2006 and pre-implementation/implementation activities began July 2006.

Present during the contract signing were Yuen Thai International Senior Vice President Vicky Dilcock, Yuen Thai Philippines General Manager Alan Liu, IST (Internal) Project Manager Johnson Tam, IST (External) System Implementation Senior Manager Vangie Quemada and IST (External) HR2 Project Manager Rogie Niño.

HR2 is an integrated set of web-based application systems that automates the manual administrative functions of a Human Resources Department.

In order to fully meet the requirements of Yuen Thai Philippines, IST conducted a business process mapping last June 19-23, 2006. The latter allowed IST to understand the current business processes of Yuen Thai Philippines and match it against HR2’s system functionality. This procedure, Niño explained, allowed IST to “arrive at a recommendation on how the implementation strategy will be carried out” in the most time and cost efficient manner possible.
