 CTSI PHILIPPINES WINS AVON CONTRACT
 CCD
Thursday, December 01, 2005

CTSI Philippines acquired the contract for Avon Procurement Hub Project. The contract for the warehousing deal was signed last October 2005 whereas the contract signing for forwarding and brokerage is scheduled for the first week of December, also of the same year.

Philippine Station Business Development Manager Gerry Inandan credits the “total logistics solution that we offer to them and the partnership with Phil-Export in providing us the necessary guidelines” as the edge that won them the contract. The total logistics solution covers the areas of Air and Sea Export, Air and Sea Import, Brokerage and Warehousing.

“To make it possible for CTSI to operate and run the Avon Procurement Hub, Freight Management will play a crucial role in ensuring that there are adequate materials to be fed to the production line,” he added.

Other than this three-year contract, CTSI Philippines also sees more opportunities with the giant cosmetics company. Inandan cites the Avon NDC (National Distribution Center) in particular. “We will also participate in this (Avon NDC) bid,” he informed.

The Avon NDC will basically serve as the nationwide distributor of Avon’s finished goods products. Inandan is enthusiastic over the prospects of winning the bidding, which he believes will grant CTSI Philippines the experience to test “our capabilities in handling such a complex requirement.”
