INTEGRATED Solutions Technology (IST) found itself traveling to different parts of the globe to implement its ASNx/FGA scan/pack system to two Polo vendors. ASNx/FGA stands for Advanced Shipment Notice Extra for Finished Goods Apparel, one of IST’s products.
Last August 8, IST Project Manager Maria Teresa “Tet” Lacsamana flew all the way to the Dominican Republic to implement the said system for Ferrara Manufacturing, a vendor for Polo, at their factory, the Apparel Group International.
With ASNx/FGA currently on its live run, part of Lacsamana’s trip involved training Ferrara’s team members on the system, which is ongoing to this day. Located specifically in the Zona Franca Industrial, Pisano no. 1, present during the implementation were Management Information and Technology Consultants, Inc.’s Pradeep Singh (consultant to Ferrara), various Ferrara executives and company owners, Joe and Carolyn Ferrara.
Ferrara enlisted the services of IST because Polo now requires all its vendors to be EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) compliant, hence Ferrara opted to use the scan/pack system of IST. “IST is taking care of this account as Ferrara would also like IST to provide them for their other brands such as Nordstrom and Banana Republic,” shared Lacsamana. “They are willing to work with us to ask the respective buyer of the brand to use the IST system.”
Last August 17 to August 23, Jet Liu of IST’s Sales and Marketing, conducted a six-day training program on ASNx/FGA for Shing On International Ltd., another vendor for Polo. Located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Shing On has two factories: Shanta Industries Ltd. and Tropica Garments Ltd.
Present during the training were managers from both factories from departments such as shipping, IT, merchandising, shipping and production.
Shing On enlisted IST to implement the ASNx/FGA system because Polo bought back the Polo Children’s wear license and has required all its corresponding vendors to be Polo EDI compliant. And since Polo has certified the ASNx/FGA /xoTrack to be the only EDI compliant programs, Shing On had to make the transfer from their previous program to IST’s. Despite the transition from a different program, Liu said that the implementation “went smoothly.”
With its clients for its software solutions growing steadily, IST looks forward to further developing its systems and providing nothing but the best customer service in order to give clients that extra edge to compete on a global level. |
