MOBIL OIL Marianas announced last October 12, 2006 the appointment of TAT Petroleum (Guam) Inc. as the sole distributor of Mobil lubricants in the Northern Marianas.

TAT Petroleum (Guam) Inc. is a newly formed joint venture between TAT Petroleum Singapore Pte Ltd. and Cosmos Distributing Co. Guam Ltd. The same company will distribute Mobil lubricants on Guam, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.

“TAT Guam aims to be the premier lubricants company in the region. We are committed to developing and growing the Mobil brand and focus on meeting the needs of its customers,” said George Chiu, president of the new joint venture company.

TAT Guam will begin distributing Mobil lubricants in the Micronesian region on October 30, 2006.

The appointed sales agent in the CNMI is Cosmos Distributing Co. (Saipan) Ltd., located on the 2nd floor of Tun Kiku's Building on Chalan Pale Arnold, Garapan.

According to TAT Guam, the new distributorship arrangement involves CTSI Logistics. The latter will bring customers improved logistics, sales and after-sales service as well as reinforced support from distributors. The Saipan Station will be handling Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.

Chiu said that the same products will be made available along with better sales and customer service from personnel recently trained by Exxon-Mobil.
