SAIPAN – Joining the many organizations that have rushed to the aid of the typhoon victims in the Philippines are the Saipan Station and MELL. The two have partnered with a Filipino group, the Bicol Association, which launched a one-month donation campaign for the victims of super typhoon Reming in the Bicol region in the Philippines. Also involved in the project is KWAW 100.3, a local radio station, owned by Radio Com.
“CTSI Logistics is fully committed to provide assistance in whatever way we can to support the community whether it is in fund raising, disaster relief and the like,” said Saipan Station GM Rene Magalong.
The Saipan Station is scheduled to ship a 20-footer container of relief goods to the Philippines by the end of January 2007 and will waive all origin and handling fees. MELL, on the other hand, agreed to offer its oceanfreight free of charge. |
