On March 25, members of the Saipan Unity Lions Club initiated a fundraising activity to gather funds for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.  Among these is Saipan Station's Argie Buensalido, who is also the club's one-year director.

Through the fundraising activity called the hot lunch fund drive, the club was able to turn over a total of $500 to the Japanese Society of NMI.

Other officers from the club who are also affiliated with Tan Holdings are::  Saipan Unity Lion's Club President, Ladyvir Canape of Cosmos; its treasurer, Noemi Catigan of Asia Pacific Hotel, Inc. and its 2-year director, Guillermo T. Canape, Jr. of POI Aviation.
