US Station Freight Forwarding Manager Rene Magalong and TSA (Transportation Security Administration) Security Coordinator Rey attended a recent luncheon hosted by the Los Angeles Air Cargo Association.  The meeting was held at the Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo CA on September 8.

The luncheon served as a venue for Rene and Rey to meet people from the airline and trucking industries and guests from TSA.

Guest speaker is Dave Burnell, TSA’s Assistant Branch Chief spearheading the CCSP (Certified Cargo Screening Program).

CTSI Logistics – LAX has lodged an application to be a CCSF (Certified Cargo Screening Facility). Once approved as CCSF, cargo can be screened on site instead of an airline screening for the company. From the CCSF facility, the cargo will be tendered to airline and go straight for build up to load in the plane.
