CTSI Logistics partners with MITA “We're very excited about our new partnership with the Guerrero family, who owns MITA Travel,” said Saipan station General Manager Rene Magalong. “We're looking forward to build a strong, long-term business relationship with their company." With MITA Travel's office in Garapan serving as FedEx's third drop-off station, Magalong noted that the opening of the new drop-off point would provide more convenience and choices to local residents sending packages anywhere in the world via FedEx. Aside from its main office at the Saipan International Airport, FedEx currently has two drop-off stations on the island: the CTSI office in Lower Base and the CIC Centre on Beach Road. According to Magalong, MITA Travel is only one of the several drop-off stations that CTSI and FedEx are planning to open throughout the island this year. "We're looking at opening the fourth station later this quarter," he said. Having been FedEx's sales partner in Saipan since 1991, Magalong disclosed that plans were underway to expand that partnership. FedEx, he said, has offered CTSI Logistics to become its sales partner for the entire Micronesia except in Guam, where FedEx operates its own station. However, discussions are also being held on the possibility of CTSI taking over FedEx's clearing and delivery operations in Guam with FedEx retaining only marketing responsibility. |
